The Giving Collection: A Way to Offer Comfort

The Giving Collection: A Way to Offer Comfort

At DEMDACO, our mission is to Lift the Spirit. We see that mission lived out in our products when they assist people in their meaningful life moments, whether good, bad, happy or sad. We believe that gifts aren’t just objects — they’re connections. They carry meaning, mark milestones and sometimes say what words cannot. That’s why our Giving Collection has become so popular: it helps people find just the right gift for those moments.

This collection was designed with intention — to be there when people need it most. Whether someone is celebrating a small victory, navigating a hard loss or simply needing to feel loved and seen, these pieces are designed to connect people.

From ultra-soft wholesale shawls and blankets to the Giving Bear and our Weighted Giving Heart Pillow, every item in the Giving Collection is designed to bring a sense of presence and peace. These aren’t just comfort products. They’re reminders: You are not alone. You are loved. You are supported.

Every stitch, every fabric choice, every word printed on our packaging is purposeful. We design for real life — for the friend facing surgery, the mom grieving a loss, the teacher who always shows up for others or the neighbor who could use a little encouragement.

What truly sets the Giving Collection apart is why people gift it. These gifts become part of powerful, real-life stories of compassion, resilience and love. And often, we get to hear those stories.

Included with many Giving Collection products is a simple postcard. On it we ask one question: how did this gift connect with you?

These postcards arrive almost every day from all over the country. Some are joyful. Some are heartbreaking. All are honest. What comes back to us is often simple and encouraging, but sometimes the story is raw and vulnerable. It speaks to the power of and need to share our stories.

“I am 82 years old. I just lost my first great-grandchild. He was stillborn and named after my deceased husband. We are on different continents. A friend responded to the news by sending me a shawl. I didn’t know there were such things. I think it may be the nicest thing anyone has ever done.”

“After spending a week in the hospital, my husband passing, I came home to a very lonely house until my dear friend Megan sent my Giving Heart. I slept more soundly last night holding my Heart knowing I’m not alone.”

“I received a heart transplant and presented this heart to the wife and family of my donor.”

This last postcard is probably our most powerful to date. It’s rare that we get a postcard from the gift giver.

This postcard stands out because of the power of the story. It’s just one sentence, but it tells several stories. One is the story of the donor family. A family who is grieving the loss of a loved one. A family needing comfort. Another is the story of family getting the opportunity for a new lease on life. More time with family and friends. Our part in this story is the opportunity we had to create a gift, the Giving Heart, that met both families in this moment. YOUR part was carrying this collection in your store so a shopper had the opportunity to see and purchase it.

These stories remind us why we do what we do. Yes, we design amazing products, but what we do is help lift people’s spirits in those moments of comfort, love and joy. And we get to do that together what a privilege

Each postcard we receive is a part of a larger story — one that shows how love can be passed from person to person, wrapped in a soft shawl or arms wrapped around a weighted pillow. It’s a ripple effect of comfort and kindness, and we’re deeply honored to be a part of it.

So, the next time you’re wondering how to support shoppers going through something — big or small — we invite you to explore our wholesale Giving Collection ... and let's continue to lift spirits ... together.
