Zakk, our Merchandising Manager, offers a few display tips and tricks just for you!
"When crafting a holiday display, think in layers utilizing platforms or even stacking furniture to get product at eye level. When decorating Christmas trees, I tend to use shorter trees and put them in urns or on tabletops. This allows me to use fewer ornaments so that I can back-stock and elevate the tree both physically and aesthetically.
When you are planning displays, don’t forget to look up… We leave a good deal of retail space behind when we don’t utilize the ceiling. Hang holiday garlands from hooks and display over-sized ornaments. Recently, I was having trouble displaying DEMDACO’s “Old Saint Knickers game due to its size. In the end, I hung it using monofilament from the ceiling above other games easily highlighting it as a holiday best seller.
If you are selling holiday fragrance, namely the ornament diffuser or the holiday Giving Candles, make sure you are using the fragrance in the store. Burn a tester candle near your cash wrap station or display the ornament using the essential oils. Utilizing a tester gives the customer an immersive experience that allows them to see how a fragrance will feel when they get it home. These make for great add-on purchases."
