A Creative Trend Report From Our Creative Services Team

Recently our Creative Services team, which is a whole mess of insanely talented individuals, went out to our local Kansas City area to see what retailers around us are creating.

We get so encouraged by everything you all do. It was refreshing renewal to see everyone's displays and designs.

Here are a few insights we want to relay!

Set a Vibe 

Decorating your store, not just with product, but with actual decorations is key. This is how your shoppers will know what vibe you're selling, in addition to what product you offer. It's about creating an experience. Think about where you can add real flowers, some curtains, furniture and even art! We saw a lot of homey accents, like refurbished dressers and mantles, to display product on. 

Bolder the Better

Don't be afraid of color! Rich, bold, vibrant and happy - we saw color bursting out the doors and begging us to come in and have a look-see ... which we excitedly did. 

Organization

Keep your store organized. It sounds logical, and you're probably thinking 'duh', but every store we saw did a wonderful job at keeping things clean and tidy that when we were shopping, we felt at ease and peaceful. A serene shopper is a happy shopper who will likely come back because of the feeling you gave them. 

Branch Out

Maybe you're a salon, a kids' store or an accessories store and you don't know how to branch out while 'staying in your lane'. Let us just say: cross-merchandise! If you're a salon: offer some scarves or jewelry. She's there to be pampered and will probably love to browse around too. If you're a kids' store: mama needs some extra TLC too, so offer a shawl or loungewear. If you're an accessories retailer: offer something to carry the accessories in like pouches or totes. You can always find product to complement your store type. 

To be honest, we learn SO much from you all. You're an inspiration to us and we adore what you curate. It helps us create purposeful products for YOU! You might say: we're the perfect match.
